Endings Lords of the Fallen and How to Unlock Each One

Lords of the Fallen features three distinct narrative conclusions that shape the fate of Axiom and Umbral. Understanding how to unlock each ending is essential for players who wish to experience the full scope of the game's dark fantasy storyline. Depending on your choices regarding the five major beacons, your journey will culminate in either a divine restoration, a demonic conquest, or a mysterious cosmic transformation.
The Radiance Ending
The Radiance path is considered the most straightforward outcome for players during their initial playthrough. To achieve this conclusion, you must interact with and cleanse all five corrupted beacons located across the map. These beacons are found in the Forsaken Fen, Upper Calrath, Fief of the Chill Curse, Tower of Penance, and The Empyrean.
Cleansing these pillars weakens the rogue god Adyr and sets the stage for the final confrontation. After defeating the main story bosses and purifying every beacon, proceed to the final arena to finish your quest. Completing this path restores order through divine light and grants players the Radiant Purifier starting class for future playthroughs.
The Inferno Ending
Unlocking the Inferno ending requires a deliberate strategy that spans your entire campaign. Players must strictly avoid cleansing any of the five beacons throughout their journey. Instead, advance through the narrative until you obtain the Rune of Adyr from the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters.
After defeating the Sundered Monarch in Bramis Castle, present the item to the Effigy of Adyr to upgrade it into the Empowered Rune of Adyr. Return to all five uncleansed beacons and use the empowered rune to corrupt them individually. Finally, travel to The Empyrean, enter the mind of Judge Cleric, and use the rune on Iselle to usher in Adyr's reign.
The Umbral Ending
The Umbral conclusion represents the most complex and secretive narrative path available. Similar to the Inferno route, players must refrain from cleansing any beacons to avoid locking themselves out of the questline. You will need to access Mother's Lull in the Umbral realm and obtain specialized seedpods to eliminate specific non-player characters.
As you progress, transform the Rune of Adyr into the Withered Rune of Adyr by delivering it to the entity in Mother's Lull. You must collect multiple Umbral Parasites by defeating key targets like the Lightreaper, the Iron Wayfarer, and Elianne the Starved. Placing these parasites into the columns near Molhu in Skyrest Bridge ultimately unlocks the final portal to Mother's Lull.
Tips for Planning Your Playthroughs
Because certain key decisions permanently lock you out of alternative endings, careful planning is required. Cleansing even a single beacon immediately invalidates both the Inferno and Umbral routes for that current run. Players seeking to collect all achievements or unlock every unique character class should plan to complete three separate playthroughs.
